Experience the thrill of surfing a river wave and running rapids on a standup paddleboard!

At this workshop, you will learn to navigate rapids and surf river waves on a standup paddleboard at one of Pennsylvania's premiere whitewater SUP locations, Greenhouse Park, just outside of Johnstown.

This location offers a beginner-friendly wave and easy rapids that are safe and enjoyable for first-time river paddlers.  *This workshop is a ""Park and Play"" experience, meaning we will be staying in one location.  You can choose to surf and paddle all day or relax and take in the spectacular scenery!  More details below…

Additional information

Special requirements

We will be providing the boards, paddles, pfds, etc., however, feel free to bring any of your own gear if you have it.  Please wear swim/active wear and bring old shoes you don't mind getting wet (avoid cotton clothing.  Quick drying material is optimal).  Surf booties, vibram five fingers, old sneakers, water shoes, etc. are all good choices and we will have shoes available for use as well.

In addition, be sure to bring a change of clothes and towel for the end of the day.  Please note: our whitewater adventures are subject to weather and stream conditions. It is possible that the itinerary or even the date of the trip might have to be adjusted.  We will keep you posted on any details as the date of your adventure nears.

Cancellations

Cancelation policy:

• Cancellation between two-weeks and 48 - hours prior to departure date will incur a 50% of the total amount, plus administration fees.
• Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to departure date and time or no-show will incur a charge 100% of the total amount.
• This course is subject to weather and water conditions that could change drastically.  We reserve the right to reschedule the event at any time to ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants.
