General Information

The ECP Rock Climbing School is held once every year in the spring, usually mid-April through mid-May.  It is for the beginner climber and focuses on equipment, development of basic skills, and rigging for top roping style climbing.  No prior experience or equipment is necessary.

  • Teaching takes place through both classroom and outdoors sessions
  • You must be a member of the ECP to participate (1-year club membership cost is $20 per Individual)
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • School cost is $80 - this covers your training manual and basic equipment (yours to keep), use of club equipment, and camping fees at Seneca Rocks, WV for the post-course graduation climb.
