2010 Annual Canoe Flotilla May 21, 22 & 23 Join us for a delightful paddle on the scenic Allegheny River from Kennerdell to West Monterey, PA. We will camp Friday night at a private site and party. Then begin our journey Saturday morning. After a leisurely paddle and drift, weather permitting (We like to raft up the boats and enjoy the companionship, hence the name Flotilla), we set up camp in a remote area beside the stream and party. Sunday, we continue the trip to West Monterey and the take-out. This trip is suitable for all experience levels and river does much of the work. We can connect you with sources for canoes, if necessary. Kayaks are welcome. Contact: Duke Schneider

The Arthritis Foundation, Western Pennsylvania Chapter has been selected once again by the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta to be this year's charity of choice! Every year the Regatta chooses a local charity to benefit from the proceeds of one of their events. We are honored to have been chosen once more to be a part of the Regatta and their "Anything that Floats" competition. Businesses and individuals from around the Pittsburgh area are invited to put their best foot forward and engineer a creatively, themed vessel to compete in a boat race in the Allegheny River! ,, ,,Not only will you be sharing in the July 4th festivities at the Regatta and enjoy the outdoors but you will also support a wonderful charity. You will be helping to touch the lives of over 46 million Americans, 1 in 3 Pennsylvanians, and over 300,000 children affected by arthritis. Your boat will be seen by the many people who attend the Regatta every year as well as the local media!,, ,,The event takes place the morning of Saturday July 4th, 2010 at 11:00 am and prizes will be awarded to the top individual and corporate teams. All teams MUST pre-register in order to participate. Join in to help support and raise awareness for arthritis and to help the Arthritis Foundation fulfill its mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. We hope to see you at the starting line! For more details and registration, please visit http://AnythingThatFloats.Kintera.Org or call 412-566-1645.Contact: Jessica Szramowski
